Palm Sunday Worship Service

Celebrate Jesus’ Triumphant Entry Into Jerusalem

March 25th, 2018 10:45 AM – EABC

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”

“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”

“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Luke 19:37-40

MAPS Maundy Thursday Service

Join in this special observance of Jesus’ washing the disciples’ feet

March 29, 2018 @ 6:30 PM – Central Assembly Of God

MAPS has invited us to join with other churches for this special service.

An often overlooked event in the Easter story, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and taught us to serve one another.

When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last.

Jesus Is Alive!

April 1st, 2018 10:45 AM – EABC

The story of God’s redemptive plan starts with a manger and a baby and ends with the triumphant return of the King. What happens between those 2 events is the single most important event in history. This Easter, join us at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church to hear the full story and discover how Jesus’ journey from the manger to the cross and then to glory can change our lives!
